Treatment CoordinatorI have been working in orthodontics since 2003, and I have really enjoyed it! I love braces because I have witnessed so many lives that have been changed by having braces and later, having a great new smile! I’ve seen how a wonderful smile increases self-esteem and increases confidence…this is one of the BEST things about my job! My husband Darin and I have two wonderful boys Tyler and Taylor. We have a blast together! During family time, you can usually find us watching our boys play sports, or spending time together at the lake.

Appointment CoordinatorI have been in the field of orthodontics since 1978, and with Dr. Austin since he started practicing in 1999. I enjoy working with Dr. Austin because his passion for beautiful smiles makes him one of the best! We have fun in our office while keeping our patients as our #1 focus! Seeing our patients come in for the first time, being there for them and their family during treatment, and seeing them end up with beautiful, glowing smiles is worth more to me than words can express! In my free time, I enjoy living on my farm with all of our animals, and spending time with my family and with my five grandkids! God has blessed me for giving me a chance to work in a practice with such wonderful people and being able to meet and help people every day.

Appointment CoordinatorAlthough I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a nurse, I joined this orthodontic team in 2000 to work with a great group of girls, and with my husband (Dr. Austin!!). I really enjoy working in the field of orthodontics to see how braces change so many lives in a positive way! You may bump into me at the front desk as you come or go, or talk to me when you call in to the office. Steve and I have a little puppy named Rudy that we love very much. When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family, flower gardening and shopping for antiques. Finally, an interesting fact about me, I think, is that thanks to our great, great God, I have been a cancer survivor since 1997!!

Financial CoordinatorI have been a part of this awesome team since July 2007. My heart has always been in the medical field, but I had no idea how much fun and rewarding orthodontics would be until becoming a part of the Austin team! I mostly do paperwork here, but I get to see our patients when they begin treatment, and have the privilege of sharing their life changing experience when they leave here with their beautiful smiles that were created with "a passion for perfect smiles". When not at Austin Orthodontics, I spend most of my time with my wonderful husband Patrick, and stepdaughter Madison. I also enjoy gardening, fishing and spending time with my family, friends, and my two cats Bleau and Precious.

Records and Recall CoordinatorI have been a member of Austin Orthodontics since November 2007. I do your initial impressions and x-rays, and recalls. I enjoy orthodontics because I love being a part of changing peoples’ lives and seeing a great "end result". Our staff is such a great team and we work so well together. I have really enjoyed my time in the office and look forward to all the years ahead. I have a wonderful fiancé named Aaron, and we will be married in April 2008. For fun, I enjoy the beach and going shopping.

Clinical Assistant and Lab TechnicianI have been in orthodontics for 23 years. I graduated from Arizona State in 1985 with a degree as a Dental Assistant 2, and got my X-Ray Certification. I really love seeing patients come in at first, before braces are on…and then seeing them at the end of treatment, with a fabulous result! That makes my job so rewarding! I enjoy golfing, riding bikes, and especially love spending time with my little dachund "Little Rickie"! He is my "son", even though he is a dog!

Seeing patients walk out of our door and smile for the first time without being self-conscious about their smile is an amazing feeling! Outside of the office, I love spending time with my family, attending church, coaching cheerleading, and spending time outdoors! I am very excited to meet you and to help create your picture perfect smile!

Clinical AssistantI have been a DAII since 1995. I was a general chair side assistant for a dentist for the first three years of my career. Then, in 1998, I found my real passion in orthodontics…the field that I will always remain in! I have been blessed to have Dr. Austin to work with; he really cares about his patients! His patients have such a great time at their appointments…He tells them jokes or anything to get them to smile! He truly is a wonderful orthodontist. Every day is a great day when you can enhance a smile or change a bite for the better! This is very rewarding to me. I am married to a great man! We have a blended family of four, and the kids are all grown. We have one grand daughter Skylar. She just turned one! We have two dogs and one very fat cat. We enjoy praying for our family for God’s will to be done; and I feel at peace when I am at work or with my family, knowing that God is in charge of my life and theirs! We also enjoy walking the dogs, boating on the lake, painting, and taking crazy photos of the family. We also enjoy being cast in movies! My son and I are extras in "Leatherheads" which will be out on April 4, 2008! Look for us! He is a medic, and I’m a fan during a football game! We had so much fun!

Clinical AssistantI graduated from the CPCC Dental Assisting program with a Dental Assistant II certification. I became a part of the Austin Orthodontics team in 2007 as a clinical assistant. Orthodontics has become a passion for me, and a rewarding career for me. I enjoy the challenges I see in orthodontics, and seeing our patients grow while becoming a part of their lives. I love helping Dr. Austin achieve beautiful smiles that last the patients’ whole lifetime. When I’m not at the office, I race cars at drag strips! I have been associated with professional drag racing since I was born, and recently started driving my own racecar! Ready, Set, Go…to Austin Orthodontics…I can’t wait to help you race to a great smile! When not at the track, I love spending time outdoors and going to the beach.
