Dr. Steven M. Austin
Dr. Steven M. Austin is a 1990 honor graduate of Appalachian State University with Bachelor of Science degrees in biology and chemistry. He received his dental and orthodontic degrees from the University of North Carolina’s School of Dentistry at Chapel Hill in 1994 and 1999, respectively. His honors and awards received from ASU include the 1990 Outstanding Senior Award in Biology, the 1988-1989 President of Tri Beta Biological Honor Society, the Dean’s List four semesters, the Alpha Chi Honor Society and various academic scholarships with the departments of chemistry and biology. Dr. Austin has been practicing orthodontics exclusively since 1994. Dr. Austin and his wife Shauna reside in Lincolnton with their little dog Rudy. When not straightening teeth, he loves to fish, hunt, and golf.
